About Jerome:
Jerome started his career as a civil engineer building businesses in corporate America. In 2009, he transferred to a consulting firm. As he built a strong reputation in the industry, he had the opportunity to build up a construction company to 175 people and $20M in revenue in 1 year. That is when he got interested in real estate. However, when he had to lay off half of the company’s workforce, he decided to leave the corporate world and focus on his real passion. He started to educate himself in real estate investing and hasn’t looked back ever since.

Welcome to Real Estate (Un)Success Stories. Join your host Cody Lewis as he talks with Logan Freeman on how powerful a change in mindset can be. Logan went through so many hardships in his personal life and professional career from getting cut in the NFL to getting fired in his job. These hardships though didn’t deter him from striving for success. He shared the story of how he learned to shape his mindset in “classroom on wheels.”
Logan Freeman is key principal, co-founder, and Chief Development Officer of FTW Investments. Mr. Freeman oversees the company’s acquisitions and investment strategies. He also personally selects all key investment markets and asset classes to meet the goals of investors.
Mr. Freeman brings to the company over six years of real estate investing experience. Prior to FTW Investments, Mr. Freeman was the Director of Acquisitions for a fund where he originated the concept, developed the operating plan, and created the company’s products worth over $50M. He also acquired over 225 doors in little over a year and completed a portfolio refinance, returning all of the investors capital as well as maintaining positive cash flow.
Prior to working with the real estate investment group, Mr. Freeman worked as a director of sales for Service Management Group. This position involved working with startup, medium sized service, and consulting companies in and around Kansas City.
Prior to his entrepreneurial activities, Logan was an All-American collegiate football athlete at the University of Central Missouri, where he graduated from in 2013. After his final season in college he was picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Oakland Raiders.

Jeremy owns Shine Insurance Agency with his wife, McKenzie. He’s a teacher at heart and he simplifies insurance by giving step by step guidance along the way. Before Shine, he was an elementary school teacher, helping countless kids fall in love with art, math, science, and writing. Former students remember learning to play hockey in gym class, opening epic businesses in a virtual world called The Businesses Project, and learning to use a sewing machine.
After 13 years of teaching, he decided it was time to change the way people feel about insurance. Jeremy carried the heart of an educator over and he's been making insurance simple for first time home buyers and real estate investors even since.
Most days, Jeremy can be found helping real estate investors by shooting them ball parks, reviewing their policies, and making insurance work for their bottom line.
